Absolutely the best pasty around – even better than the big-name ones in town! We’re loving the new place – it’s got such a great vibe. Please bring back the meal deal! That was always me and my son’s favourite – the perfect combo of large pasty, stinky crisps(BBQ) , and a drink. We really miss it!

By far the best bakery in Tavistock but it's a secret that only true local Tavy people know about. Pasties are off the scale and nearly make up for the fact that technically they're meat parcels as not from Cornwall. Best meal deal in the world that includes a large pasty, Burts crisps and a can of fizzy pop for a £5.. See attached pic. A true Devon bargain!

The best bakery in town. Regularly buy from here. Their granary bread, pain au raisins and Belgian buns are our staple buys and the best we’ve ever had. The new premises are great.

We would like to thank the staff who were very helpful for the wonderful buffet food including a fresh cream gateaux topped with fresh fruit, all the food was well presented & lovely enjoyed by everyone. Would thoroughly recommend the bakery. Thank you again.

Stumbled across this bakery today whilst visiting Tavistock. We have visited Tavistock itself numerous times, but had never wandered up this street and boy we are SOOOOO glad we did!! Honestly, the BEST cream cakes and Donuts we have ever had!!! We will definitely be returning.

Wanted a snack for lunch, found this bakery in King Street, the best pasties ever, my wife had steak I had cauliflower cheese(I am not vegetarian) for a change COULD NOT fault either of these and at £2.50 each the best value,after eating went and bought a loaf of bread which was brilliant. Do not buy over priced pasties from the high street shops (at least £4,50 each) BUY from this Bakery

Easily the best bakery in the whole of the south west. Pasties are delightfully seasoned and perfectly crisp. Great service and incredibly cheap for the quality and size (doughnut 75p). Thank you for opening this brilliant bakery!!

Tony and the team made a superb cake for a 70th Birthday, everyone at Cake, Bake n Shakes were incredibly helpful, the only down side was they have loads of amazing looking normal cakes that we had no room to eat with our huge birthday cake. If you’re in the area you really need to go and buy and cake.
The steak pasties are terrific, perfect pastry, plenty of succulent steak and veg, the best in town. The breads and sweets are delicious, too. We stop in every time we visit Tavistock for some great food at excellent prices.
Best bakery in Tavistock and probably for a good few miles. Pasties are best in southwest, and all the other products are faultless. My only complaint is that they shut on Mondays, but I’ll let it slide so they can rest and start the week again making great gear.
